For the past month or so, I have been busy working on future plans, but more about them later.
It has been 5 years since my first ever Podcast.
Little has changed since those times.
The format started off slightly differently, it was more like a Radio Show. I intended to speak, but I couldn’t bring myself to. I did try, but in the end, the computerised voice won out, and it became part of the style and format of the show.
There were experiments along the way, where I intervened, but it made the show different, and not what it should have been. The only existing legacy of that particular experiment, is me saying goodbye at the end.
So, the show hasn’t really evolved. It’s pretty much the same as it was 5 years ago, and guess what, I have no intention of changing it.
As a mini celebration of 5 years of Podcasting, I have 3 podcasts that will be released in the coming weeks.
The first, will be a compilation of music from the first 4 podcasts. I deleted them a while back, as they were badly made.
The second, will be the last episode of Infinity I ever made, which was never released. For those of you who have never heard of Infinity, it was a dance mix podcast, concentrating on that genre of music.
The third, will be my Top Ten of all the tracks I have ever played.
After that, I will keep making the shows.
So why the blog post?
This is all, because I am now also a Radio Presenter, on Radio-TASC.
I am not doing a live show, but pre-recorded just like the Podcast. I don’t know if this will change in time. I’m quite happy the way it is though.
I have done the first show, and although I, like many people, am not keen on my own voice, I’m pleased with the end result.
The show airs on Tuesdays at 17:15 and Wednesdays at 11:00, and is called “Tony’s Alternative Sounds”. Yes, that is my name in there. I have resisted putting my name on this blog, but it’s no big secret, and it’s not hard to find that kind of info, especially where Facebook is concerned.
I do hope some of you can tune in. On the radio station site, there are links to listen on various players, at the bottom of the page.
Thank you for listening so far, and I hope you’ve taken something away musically from the last 5 years.
Regards
T
Absolutely loving Bank Holidays, and the extra game time they are giving me on games such as Portal 2 and Dirt 3 (no that is not some kind of weird geeky football score).
