Now that the New Year is in full swing, I ought to do a little housekeeping.
My Radio Show, on Radio TASC is in Full Swing. I have a regular slot. Thursdays at 10pm GMT, and Repeated Sundays also at 10pm GMT. The aim is to have a new show for every week, which I’m managing to do at the moment.
I also have put together a couple of Spotlight Shows for the station, which are basically 30 minute slots for New Bands and Artists to talk about themselves, and play some of their music. The first one was for Richard O’Brien Which has been aired, and one just completed, for The Passion Flowers.
I’ve also been using Mixcloud.
With podcasting still being restricted to what music can be played, it can take some time to find good tracks, to put one together.
With Mixcloud, you can play almost anything, except Mashups I presume.
The downside is shows can’t be downloaded, only streamed.
With this in mind, I have been putting small shows together, very quickly, using the DJay app on my iPod. The results are a bit rough and ready, and not as good as some of the casts available on Mixcloud.
These shows are called “Nice Lunch”, and because WordPress doesn’t allow embeds, apart from YouTube and Soundcloud, I have assembled a Tumblr blog for them.
I will be working on a new SB Podcast soon, but not in the next couple of weeks at least.
